At the reception Gregory Nagy, Jones Professor of Classical Literature and Professor of Comparative Literature, Harvard University (Boston, MA, USA), and the Director of the Center for Hellenic Studies (Washington, D.C., USA), Trustees for Harvard University, will be appointed as one of the foreign members of the Academy and will give a speech, entitled,

“OBSERVATIONS ON GREEK DIALECTS IN THE LATE SECOND MILLENNIUM BCE.”

Κατά τη δημόσια συνεδρία της Ακαδημίας Αθηνών, την Τρίτη 12 Απριλίου 2011 και ώρα 19:00, θα γίνει η υποδοχή του Ξένου Εταίρου κ. Gregory Nagy, Καθηγητή Συγκριτικής Λογοτεχνίας και Διευθυντή του Κέντρου Ελληνικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Χάρβαρντ.

Το νέο μέλος θα προσφωνήσει ο Πρόεδρος της Ακαδημίας κ. Απόστολος Σ. Γεωργιάδης και, στη συνέχεια, ο Ακαδημαϊκός κ. Νικόλαος Κονομής θα παρουσιάσει το επιστημονικό του έργο. 
Θα ακολουθήσει ομιλία του κ. Gregory Nagy με θέμα "Observations on Greek dialects in the late second millennium BCE".
